The Very Hungry Caterpillar

Image
One of my favorite childhood books was The Very Hungry Caterpillar. I don’t really know why I liked it so much but I did a lot. I usually read it to myself or to my little sister when I got older, but my mom and dad read it to me when I was really little. I think I really liked it because the fruit looked really yummy and it made me hungry. It is a really good book that is entertaining, educational, and easy to read. I would recommend this book for all ages because I loved it then and I still love it now.

Amelia Bedelia, The Best Book Ever

Image
One of my favorite childhood books is “Amelia Bedelia” by Peggy Parish. Amelia Bedelia is a book where a girl name Amelia takes everything literally. It always cracked me up as a kid. One of my favorite parts in the book was when she was told to change the towels in the bathroom. Instead of changing them how someone else would, she cut them, and made them different. The first time someone read it to be was in my kindergarten class by the librarian. Its a really good book that is funny for kids of all ages.

The Giving Tree Gave us an amazing book

Image
When I was younger my favorite book was The Giving Tree. This story is written by Shel Silverstein. This story is about a boy that loved a tree and the tree loved the boy. Each time the boy came to the tree the tree gave the boy what he wanted even if it made the tree unhappy. When I was younger I read this all the time. I would have my mom and dad read it to me. I loved this book so much and It was really important to me and I loved it. I would recommend this book to kids because when I was younger I loved it.

One of my favorite books was Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling. In the book Harry’s parents get killed and he has to live with his aunt and uncle. He finds out he is a wizard and gets to go to a school to learn magic. Later on in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th, book there are a lot of cliffhangers and you want to read  more. When I first red the book it was for a read aloud in 4th grade. I loved it so much and red ahead of the class and finished before them.

It's What's On The Inside That Matters By Elly S.

My all time favorite book is Wonder by Raquel J. Palacio. I first read this book in 3rd grade and since then I have read it dozens of more times. A quote on the back of the book says “don’t judge a book by it’s cover” this book really adds to the meaning of the book because the book is about a ten year old boy with extreme facial deformity and had gone through over 40 surgeries by just age ten. His name is Augie. Augie had been home schooled forever because of these surgeries but this years things change up. His dad thinks he should go to middle school and Augie is ok with this concept but is still frightened because often kids scream or cry when they see him. But he becomes friends with this boy who gets to know him well and realizes even though he is different on the outside he is an amazing person on the inside. Them two go through many ups and down and make new friends throughout the whole book. The resolution of this book is by far my favorite. The climax is when their school...

A Must-Read Series!

Image
One of my favorite series of all time was the Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan, the author of the Percy Jackson series and the Kane Chronicles. If you liked the Percy Jackson books and Greek mythology, Riordan takes this one step further as he puts the gods Roman mythology in this action packed series. My favorite book in this series is the final one, named The Blood Of Olympus. Throughout the whole series, Rick Riordan managed to mix Greek and roman myths with the real word and kids being the offspring of these powerful gods. I read this series twice without getting bored the second time. I loved these books because it was fantasy, which is my favorite genre of books, and because the author had so much information about Greek and roman gods, so I felt like I was learning something. Also, all the action and magical powers that the characters had from their godly parent really excited me. If you haven’t read any of these books, I would start with the Percy Jackson series and t...

Gordon Korman's Master Book

Image
The book Mastermind, the first part of the Mastermind series by Gordon Korman, is my current favorite book. I could not put this book down while reading it. It’s my favorite because it’s suspenseful, full of mystery, and the plot is well thought out. In addition, all of the characters have some sort of flaw which causes them to compliment each other. All in all, Masterminds is a must read for those into science fiction.

Pinkalicious

Image
My favorite childhood book is Pinkalicious by Victoria Kann and Elizabeth Kann . It is my favorite book because every time I would read it I would always want a cupcake. Another reason It was my favorite childhood book because it was pink and sparkly and I loved to carry it around with me.  Whenever I wanted to read it I always had my mom read it to me.  Afterwards I would always make her bake cupcakes for me. Every time I ate a cupcake ,What ever cupcake color it was I thought I would turn that color in the morning.  These are some reasons why Pinkalicious was my favorite childhood book.

You have to read this book!

The book Chomp is one of my favorites because of the story it tells. The book brought my attention when I saw an alligator on the cover. I then got the book and started reading it. It hooked me in when there was a zoo in someone's backyard with a TV show being filmed in it. The host of the show ends up going crazy. The dad and son who own the house go to the everglades to help film the show and almost end up being killed! It was a really good book at the end and I recommend it to everybody.

Goodnight Moon

Image
When I was little my favorite book was Goodnight Moon. Every night I would read that book because it put me to sleep. I would bring that book with me whenever I went. I lost the book inside Jewel Osco and that made me feel sad. I set the book down to get something and I forgot where I put it. I got into the car and realized I couldn’t find it. My mom and I had to go back into Jewel. We found the book and that made me happy! We also bought another book by Margaret Wise Brown (the author from Goodnight Moon).

Purplelicious!!!! MUST READ

Image
My favorite book is Purplelicious . Purplelicious is a book about a girl painting and realizes there’s other pretty colors than pink. The author of Purplelicious is Victoria Kann. Victoria Kann loves writing books about different colors, being yourself, and different personalities. Purplelicious is a great book for children and I get really into the book. When I was little I would read all of the Pinkalicious Books and my favorite happens to be Purplelicious.

Marley and Me Was My Favorite Book Ever!

Image
My favorite book when I was in second grade was Marley and Me. I'm not sure why it was my favorite, but all I remember was me reading it every night. When I was in 4th grade is when I stopped reading it. Even though I knew this book was for second graders, I would still read it all the time. It always cheered me up because when the parents went through a hard time when they had to put Marley down, they persevered through it all. That taught me how to get through hard times.

the best book EVERything, everything

The book Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon is a great story that I recommend everyone should read. This story is about a girl named Maddy that is allergic to everything. One day a new boy that’s a huge rebel moves in next door named Olly. Right away Maddy and Olly fall madly in love. This inspires Maddy to do new things that she hasn’t done before such as she takes more risks, goes on adventures, or even goes outside where she can die. Every page of this book has something so exciting that you can’t put it down! As well as that not every page has words like most chapter books, it has cartoon pictures as well that helps the reader understand the book even better. Not only does Everything, Everything come in a book but recently it came out as a fantastic movie directed by Stella Meghie. The film is almost as good as the book. I hope you get a chance to read this marvelous novel. the novel by                        the m...

Greatest book of all time

Image
Cover of the book Flush MY favorite book of my life is Flush . This book was written by Carl Hiaasen. It is about a family living near a harbor and the dad of Noah believes that a new casino boat is flushing sewage into the harbor. It is really compelling and interesting and once you start reading it you can’t stop. They are trying to figure out what is actually happening to the harbor and how it is being more polluted. The genre of this book is realistic fiction. I would recommend reading this book.

"Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!" is the BEST book ever!

Image
Growing up as a kid I loved reading picture books. My all time favorite book is Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus.  Mo Willems wrote this amazing book. This book always makes me laugh. The pigeon is trying to be very stubborn because he really wants to be able to drive that bus! In the book the pigeon gives so many different reasons why he should drive the bus because he was trying to convince the driver that he was able to. When I was little before I would always go to bed, my parents would always read this book to me, which will always be great memories. I think that all kids should read this book because it will make you laugh! Parents will enjoy that big smile on their children's faces!
