Maddie always wanted to join the boys basketball team, but she couldn’t. Swish , that was the sweet sound to Maddie’s ears. Maddie was standing at the freethrow line. One of my favorite series of all time was the Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan, the author of the Percy Jackson series and the Kane Chronicles. If you liked the Percy Jackson books and Greek mythology, Riordan takes this one step further as he puts the gods Roman mythology in this action packed series. My favorite book in this series is the final one, named The Blood Of Olympus. Throughout the whole series, Rick Riordan managed to mix Greek and roman myths with the real word and kids being the offspring of these powerful gods. I read this series twice without getting bored the second time. I loved these books because it was fantasy, which is my favorite genre of books, and because the author had so much information about Greek and roman gods, so I felt like I was learning something. Also, all the action and magical powers that the characters had from their godly parent really excited me. If you haven’t read any of these books, I would start with the Percy Jackson series and then read the Heroes of Olympus. Happy Reading!
