Maddie always wanted to join the boys basketball team, but she couldn’t. Swish , that was the sweet sound to Maddie’s ears. Maddie was standing at the freethrow line. It was her freshmen year, she was trying out for the basketball team. Not just any team… The boys team. My favorite book when I was in second grade was Marley and Me. I'm not sure why it was my favorite, but all I remember was me reading it every night. When I was in 4th grade is when I stopped reading it. Even though I knew this book was for second graders, I would still read it all the time. It always cheered me up because when the parents went through a hard time when they had to put Marley down, they persevered through it all. That taught me how to get through hard times.
I liked how you still read it after sencond grade.
